Executive Management

T. Sean Adams currently serves as the Executive Director of the Ashtabula Metropolitan Housing Authority. Hired in 2019 after working 16 years for the Ohio American Water Company. Mr. Adams was appointed Acting Executive Director by the Board of Commissioners in October 2023 and then voted in as the Executive Director in February 2024.

In his role as Executive Director, Mr. Adams oversees the management and operations of AMHA’s entire housing portfolio which collectively serves over 1,100 families in Ashtabula County. Under Mr. Adams’ leadership AMHA has

been able to complete multiple large-scale capital construction projects to maintain the structural integrity of multiple housing developments to ensure long-term housing availability. Most recently, AMHA’s application through HUD’s Special Applications Office has been approved for the demolition of Woodman Estates as well as approval for replacement vouchers to maintain the level of housing.

Demonstrating a commitment to professional development and community leadership, Adams is currently a participant of the LEADERship of Ashtabula County Signature Program. Also, he is a member of the Ashtabula Kiwanis Club and a former member of the Ashtabula Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Adams was born and raised in Ashtabula, Ohio. He has been a lifelong resident and chose to start and raise his family here. Outside of the office he is a husband and father to 4 daughters who have all graduated from Edgewood High School. He also serves an active role as Associate Pastor at his church, Hiawatha Church of God in Christ.
